Summary of the conference :

When the job offer came to go and work on the biggest aluminum smelter to be built in the word in Abu Dhabi, my husband and I jumped in.

This conference will present some of the challenges I lived as a woman, as a mother of a 6 and 8 years old kids, as a wife of another member of the project team and as an engineer during the 4 years we lived in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Biography of the speaker :

Maryse Hébert holds a bachelor and a master degree from École Polytechnique.  She is also a certified PMP. Since 1995, she’s been working as a consultant in civil (structure) engineering in numerous projects, with budget between 2000$ and up to 6.5 billons $, Her desire to learn has allowed her to work in many different fields, such as commercial and industrial building, bridges, hydro-electricity, mine and metals and concrete rehabilitation in the province of Québec and Ontario and in UAE.
